- Brenda score (out of 10) blends each hotel's all-time rating on TripAdvisor and Google together (60%) with its latest reviews on both (40%). Hotels with few reviews are pulled towards the Benidorm average, so a small hotel cannot top the list on a handful of 5s.
- Latest reviews are the 30 most recent TripAdvisor reviews (stays in the last 12 months) plus the 30 most recent Google reviews, so up to 60 per hotel. The hotel's own pinned "favourite" review is left out.
- Trend is the last-30 average minus the all-time rating. A rise of 0.5 or more is a real change in what guests say.
