Which one to choose
Two people or fewer, arriving in the day: take the ALSA bus. It is the cheapest and goes straight to Benidorm.
Three or four people, a late flight, or children and luggage: a pre-booked transfer from about €70 per car works out at about €17–€23 a head for four. That is more than the bus, but it takes you to the hotel door and waits for a delayed flight.
Bus + tram only makes sense if you already plan a stop in Alicante city. It is slower than the direct bus and costs about the same.
Where to catch the bus
- At the airport, go up to Level 2 (Departures). The coaches do not leave from Arrivals. Walk out of the doors in front of the check-in desks and cross the pavement to the bus bays.
- Take ALSA line 520, signed Benidorm. About once an hour, €7.99 single. Buy at alsa.com or from the driver.
- Get off at Benidorm bus station or Av. Europa 8. The coach calls at the bus station first, then Av. Europa, a 5-minute walk from Levante beach.
- Then a local bus, a taxi or a walk to your hotel. Local buses cost €2.00. Type your hotel to find the nearest stop and bus.
