How we score bars
The Brenda score is out of 10. It is 60% the bar's all-time Google rating and 40% its last 30 reviews. We pull the all-time rating towards the Benidorm bar average of 4.33 (weight of 200 reviews), so a bar with a handful of five-star reviews cannot jump to the top, and we pull the last 30 reviews towards the bar's own rating (weight of 10). We leave out bars with fewer than 3 reviews in the last 12 months, bars where almost every recent review is five stars, and bars where guests split between very good and very bad. "Reviewers mention" counts how often a theme comes up in review text; we publish the theme, never the text. Nobody pays to be on this page. How we score.
