Two ways. Tram line 9 runs every hour and takes 36 minutes (checked Oct 2026). ALSA coaches run from Benidorm bus station and Av. Europa to Calpe bus station, and travellers buy tickets online or at the kiosk on Av. Europa. Travellers found the coach drops you closer to the town than the tram.

Yes, from Benidorm harbour. Travellers describe about an hour each way, sailing close to the cliffs past Albir and Altea. One traveller paid €27.50 in 2024. Some found there was not much time to see more than the seafront.

Yes, for a morning or an afternoon. Travellers enjoy the old town streets and the long flat promenade. The seafood restaurants are a draw too.

It is on the edge of town, about a 15-minute walk down to the centre, travellers say. Local buses stop at the station and run down to the town and beach. The way back is uphill, so the bus or a taxi helps.

In 2024 a traveller found the last coach back to Benidorm left Calpe at 21:20. Times change with the season, so check on the day. The tram is another way back.

It can be. The line runs high along the mountainside as it nears Calpe, with big views. A traveller in 2022 suggested the coach on the coast road instead for anyone with vertigo. A return tram ticket was about €3.75 in 2022.

The Peñón de Ifach scores 4.5 from 2,670 TripAdvisor reviews and the Calpe catamaran 4.3 from 387 on GetYourGuide; the views win, slippery rocks and choppy seas do not.
The 1h30 trip ran to time, the DJ was good and drinks were fairly priced.
Felt the trip was well worth going on.
Enjoyed seeing the coastline from the sea.
Sunset over Benidorm and the cava were highlights, but the sea was quite choppy.
The path to the tunnel is easy, even for children. After the tunnel it becomes a scramble.
Incredible, but the rocks are worn glassy by footfall. Dangerous if not taken seriously, especially at 31°C.
Avoid the hot season: a long uphill walk to the tunnel, and more slippery after it.
About four hours ashore, enough to scratch the surface. Climb a little for great views.
Private skippered boat scores 9.7/10 from 40.
