The story
Who was Sticky Vicky?
Victoria María Aragüés Gadea was born in Tenerife in 1943, trained as a dancer and came to Benidorm in the early 1980s. Her X-rated magic act, pulling objects (most famously ping-pong balls) from where they had no business being, made her the most famous name on the strip and a regular reference in ITV's Benidorm (BBC). She once did six shows a night, six nights a week (BBC). She retired in 2016 and died on 29 November 2023.
Her daughter María Gadea owns the name and took over the act. In March 2025 Metro reported her back on stage at Rockerfellas. In this week's line-up nobody is billed as Sticky Vicky; the "sticky" acts on now are her successors.
