Hotel Bilbaíno

★★★Independent · open all year

A 38-room three-star on the seafront where Levante beach meets the Old Town: 23 m from the sand and 190 m from the Old Town. It has been here since 1947. The draw is the view: about 23 of the 38 rooms face the sea head-on, and the other 15 have a partial or side sea view.

Our verdictBook it if you want to step out of the door onto Levante beach and don't mind a plain, dated room. The catch is the building: no pool and no car park on the hotel's site, and the low reviews complain about worn rooms, poor mattresses and noise. We have no price comparison for it yet, so check the hotel's own site.
